Artisan Nancy Plett
After over 30 years of working in the events and fundraising industry, my husband and I moved from Kamloops in 2017 to retire closer to the water on the west coast of British Columbia. We found our paradise on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in a town called Sechelt.
I have always loved creating artwork and have dabbled in many mediums, but love what you can create with glass. In the late 70’s I worked for a stained glass company in Richmond, creating imitation stained glass windows, planters and mirrors. Over the years I have taken many workshops working with glass, transforming it into stained glass windows, wind chimes, clocks, mirrors, stepping stones and plates. In my retirement I have been inspired to find another way to create with glass by making mosaic glass tables and garden wall art.

Nancy Plett is a Sunshine Coast Artist. You may see her work at some local markets from April to September, The Sechelt Farmers and Artisan Market from April to September, at the Gibsons Artisan Market in July and August and the Sunshine Coast Art Crawl in October. This year Nancy will part of the Purple Banner Tour on the Sunshine Coast and will have her mosaic table and wall art available to view by appointment at her home art studio starting in May.
