Glass Mosaic Creations by Nancy

Fancy Glass by Nancy are beautiful one-of-a-kind creations that combine art and function. Artisan Nancy Plett has been creating art with glass for over 20 years. Her inspiration comes from living on the beautiful West Coast of British Columbia. Nancy looks to nature for images of the great outdoors, wildlife and flowers. Nancy is also drawn to images of mandelas and ohms. Mandelas are used in a space to keep the flow of energy going. Ohms are symbols of the sacred sound of the universe. All of these images are used in designs on glass mosaic table tops for indoor and outdoor use.

Inspired during the pandemic, Nancy started to create designs from glass pieces that were left over from other stained glass projects. Construction of the table top design is created on birch wood. Nancy’s tables combine opaque glass terrease that are cut and ground into individual designs. In some cases glass beads are used to enhance the design. Grout lines the surface and once dried is coated with a clear epoxy for outdoor & indoor durability. Table legs are either repurposed, sourced online or provided by customers. The tables range in size from 12 inches to 24 inches in diameter and can be used as side tables, plant stands or tables to enjoy a meal on.
